Out-of-pocket tuition costs for parents of students may be claimed as medical tax credits if certain conditions are fulfilled.
To be eligible for medical tax credits, parents must submit a letter written by a medical doctor or chartered psychologist with their income tax form. The letter must clearly state that the student has a specific learning problem that has a physiological origin and, as such, requires the service of the personnel at Edmonton Academy. The letter must be dated prior to the student’s enrolment at Edmonton Academy.
Although some parents have been successful in accessing medical tax credits through this procedure, we do not guarantee success. Please contact your tax advisor for clarification.
