Now Accepting Applications for the 2022-2023 school year
When you register a child to become a student at Edmonton Academy school, you are a part of a larger community working together to support our students and the school. By virtue of registering a child at our school, you are a member of the Edmonton Academy Society for Learning Disabled. As a Society member, you are committing to provide support to ensure that Edmonton Academy will thrive for future years to come.
As a non-profit charitable organization, parent tuition fees and government grants do not fully cover the basic costs of teaching a child at Edmonton Academy. As a private school, we do not qualify for many of the grants available to the public school system. As operational costs continue to increase annually, additional avenues of funding are necessary to sustain the high quality of instruction for our students.
To ensure we have adequate resources to operate, we require each member of our society to make a $750 Society Member Charitable Donation per student. This donation is due upon enrollment. Parents may seek outside donations from corporate sponsors, family, or friends for this donation. Upon Edmonton Academy’s receipt of an outside donation for your student, the society member would be reimbursed the amount of the donation up to the $750 previously provided. Charitable donation tax receipts will be issued by Edmonton Academy in February of each year.
Our Executive Fundraising Committee, a subcommittee of our Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the organization of large fundraising initiatives. Society members’ participation could include volunteering, working a casino shift, selling raffle tickets, and participating in other large fundraising events.
Casino – Our casino event has been schedulled for January 15 & 16th, 2022. We require member volunteers to run this large fundraiser. Please contact the school if you are able to assist us.
