
Application Process at Edmonton Academy
Parents of students interested in attending Edmonton Academy are required to complete an application process.
Step one: Download, print & complete an application form for Edmonton Academy.
Step two: Attach the following documentation to the application form.

A psycho-educational assessment diagnosing a specific learning disorder (learning disability) completed by a registered psychologist within 3 years of the application date that includes:

An intelligence assessment: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, or Woodcock-Johnson Test of Cognitive Abilities.

An academic assessment: Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT), Woodcock-Johnson Test of Academic Achievement, or Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement.

Any additional specialized assessments/reports that provide relevant diagnostic, medical, and educational information, such as medical diagnostic reports, therapist reports, adaptive or behaviour assessments, visual-motor assessments, vision/hearing, etc.

Report cards from the current school year.

Individualized program plans from the current and previous school years (if available).

Completed applications can be sent in PDF format to info@edmontonacademy.com or by mail.
Application Submission
Families submit a completed application along with all required documentation, including a current psychoeducational assessment.
An application is not considered complete until all documentation and the application fee have been received.

Application Fee (effective January 1, 2026): $200.00

Applications for the 2026–2027 school year open January 5, 2026.
Families can expect a response within 6–8 weeks of receiving a completed application.

Intake Interview
If an application is deemed suitable, families will be contacted to arrange an intake interview.
Upon the receipt of the full admissions application package and application fee, the information will be reviewed by the Director of Education/Principal. You will be contacted as per your child’s eligibility and/or to arrange an interview to meet at the school and further discuss your child’s learning needs and our programs.
Please note that students applying for the program are screened to ensure they have a good social and behavioural school history.
